Introduction

Descriptive statistics are a useful tool for anyone who works with data. They allow you to describe and visualize your data to better understand them, preliminarily investigate patterns and relationships, and inform statistical analyses.

These statistics can concisely describe aspects of your data to inform your own work and to share information about your data with others.

There are 3 main groups of summary statistics:

We will be going through these common summary statistics in R and more today.

This workshop assumes a basic understanding of R language, but all learners are welcome to participate.
